The Showboat Majestic was built in 1923 to be a traveling theater, offering shows in towns along the Ohio River. She was originally ferried up and down the Ohio by the Atta Boy, a stern wheel riverboat hailing from Pittsburgh. She was declared a National Historic Landmark in December of 1989, and was the last floating theater to be built in the United States. The Majestic has been home to many actors and actresses over the years, namely Sarah Jessica Parker and Kevin Kline, but also countless students from the Indiana University, Kent State University as well as Hiram College. CCM Alumni attest to the love affair with the vessel as well, with countless notable productions aboard the vessel during its stay in Cincinnati.
